I have created this website so that friends and colleagues in the international trade, competition/antitrust, and economic development communities can be kept apprised of my research and public policy work. You will find a separate page for each type of professional activity that I am engaged in. Your comments on any aspect of this website are most welcome, and can be sent to me at simon.evenett@unisg.ch. Perhaps, together, we can improve the understanding of the international economic policy options available to industrialised and developing countries and of the economic forces that shape those options. To those visiting this website for the first time, let me introduce myself. I am an academic research economist with a strong interest in public policymaking and the effects of state measures. I am a Professor of International Trade and Economic Development in the Department of Economics and Swiss Institute for International Economics and Applied Economic Research University of St. Gallen, Switzerland. I am also a Research Fellow of the Centre for Economic Policy Research, a Europe-wide network of economists. A short bio can be found here and my contact information can be found here. Some of my most recent presentations and writings can be found by clicking here. Simon J. Evenett
